Fatym Touré.
Born in Gabon and of Malian, Senegalese and Mauritanian heritage, Fatym Touré founded Maison Touré to create meaningful connections between contemporary African artists and audiences in Australia. Based in Sydney, she works closely with artists across the African continent to present carefully curated exhibitions that celebrate artistic excellence, cultural authenticity and thoughtful collecting.
Maison Touré reflects her belief that collecting art begins with understanding the artist, the work and its cultural context. Through close relationships with artists and a considered curatorial approach, the gallery offers collectors, designers and institutions an opportunity to discover contemporary African art with confidence, authenticity and care.
